 1.  Jump-Start the Vehicle:

• Park both vehicles close to each other but not touching and switch turn off both vehicles.
• Connect the red jumper cable to the positive terminal of the dead battery, connect the other end of the red jumper cable to the positive terminal of the good battery.
• Connect the black jumper cable to the negative terminal of the good battery and connect the other end of the black jumper cable to an unpainted metal surface on the engine block or frame of the vehicle with the dead battery.
• Start the vehicle with the good battery and let it run for a few minutes.
• Then try to start the vehicle with the dead battery.
• After starting, let both vehicles run for a few minutes in order to allow the alternator to recharge the dead battery.
• Disconnect the cables in reverse order to when they were connected.

2.  Battery Replacement:

If jump-starting the battery does not work, it’s time to replace the battery. When purchasing a new battery, make sure it matches your vehicle’s specifications.
